Our Community Paediatric team provide a coordinated approach to health care for children and families in Greater Bendigo, including:

  • Paediatric developmental and behavioural assessments and health management
  • Paediatric GP services, including health assessments and management, chronic disease management, and medication reviews
  • Paediatric physiotherapy
  • Paediatric Growth and Development Clinic
  • Limited nursing and Allied Health supports.

Please note: Our doctors work limited hours across the week.

A current referral from your general practitioner is needed to access our paediatric team.

If you do not have a current referral, or your referral is out of date, we will need to reschedule your appointment until we get a referral from your GP or health professional.

Please make sure you have a current referral well in advance of your appointment to avoid any delay. We appreciate your support with this.

To be eligible for our services you must be a child or young person aged under 18 years. Children and young people must also have a parent or caregiver with a valid Health Care Card (HCC).

Note: HCC does not include a personal HCC that the child or young person may have due to their own medical condition.

Please note: The extremely high demand for our paediatric service means we can have a waiting list of 12 months at times. Please contact us to learn about current waiting times

Our paediatric services are bulk billed.

Fees may apply for non-eligible services.

We offer in person and telehealth appointments. We also offer a range of appointment times depending on need.

Please contact Client Services on 5406 1200 and select option 1 for Kangaroo Flat to book an appointment.

Please ensure you have a current GP referral and have received a confirmation message before coming to the appointment.

Telehealth

Telehealth appointments are available if you cannot attend in person and you have seen one of our doctors in person in the last 12 months. If appropriate we offer both video and telephone telehealth appointments.

Walk-ins

We are an appointment-only clinic. Walk-ins will be triaged by our clinical team.

Home visits

Home visits are at the discretion of our general practitioners. Please discuss with your regular doctor.

All initial requests for prescriptions require an appointment.

Please note: Subsequent requests may take up to 2 weeks to fill and may require an appointment.

Please make an appointment for your test results, unless your doctor has stated they will phone you with the results.

We send text reminders for reviews or immunisations which may be due. Please tell your doctor if you do not wish to receive them.

Free parking is available in the carpark beside the building.

Disabled access is via the main entrance of the building. The waiting room and consulting rooms have wheelchair and scooter access.

Interpreter services are free of charge. Our client services team can help with this. Please advise what language the interpreter needs to speak when booking.

A health record is a collection of information about your health and healthcare. It may include information such as your medical history, diagnoses, medications, allergies, test results, referrals and treatment provided.

Informed consent is required before sending your health record information to a third party or to you. Refer to our Consumer Information Booklet for further information on consent, privacy, protection of your personal information and your rights and responsibilities.

Your medical records are confidential. Our policy is to maintain security of your personal health information management at all times.

We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve them quickly and fairly.

If you remain dissatisfied with our response, you may contact the Health Complaints Commissioner (HCC). The HCC responds to complaints about health services and the handling of health information in Victoria. Their service is free, confidential and impartial. To lodge a complaint with the HCC:
