More Info on Services

AOD services

We’ve spent decades supporting people with drug and / or alcohol dependence to reach their goals, whatever they may be.

Everyone who walks through our doors is valued for who they are. They’re respected and treated with dignity – always.

We stick with people, and we celebrate the wins – which are different for everyone.

We have a range of services, which include:

  • A home-away-from-home detox unit, called Nova House
  • Homebase withdrawal, to detox in your own home
  • Counsellors to assist along the way
  • Support groups
  • Extra one-on-one support before and during your time with us
  • Support for family, carers and friends
  • Medication to replace heroin and oxy use
  • Ongoing support and advice as you need it.

“They helped me achieve a better understanding of myself, to unpack the chaos in my head, and gain the confidence to live on my own without fear or failure.” - BCHS residential detox client

You’ll find many of our drug and alcohol services at Wanyanimbik Wayawan – our beautiful wellbeing centre in North Bendigo (pictured right). It’s a really lovely place to visit.

Here, we offer many services that will support you through your AOD treatment including care recovery, mobile drug safety, counselling and support group sessions.

While you’re visiting, help yourself to our free food pantry, thanks to Foodshare Bendigo. Pick up some fresh fruit and veg, pasta, sauces and other goodies – sometimes even freshly home-baked banana bread.

“I'm feeling more like me.”

“I was finally able to trust someone.”

“Speak out. Get some help.”
