Family Services
Bendigo Community Health Services offers an outreach service that assists children and parents to identify goals and respond to their unique needs and concerns.
We meet with families in their home, at our office or in other community settings.
We take the time to understand what some of the strengths and challenges are for children, young people and parents or carers, and then work together with the family to make plans to address these needs together.
Family Services can be accessed by families with children aged 0-17 years old, and we can also support people who are pregnant and preparing for parenting.

Our support for families might include:
- Accessing services to support children and young people
- Supporting engagement in learning and education
- Information about parenting skills and strategies
- Building community connections and cultural supports
- Connecting parents/carers with supports
Accessing the service
Referrals for Family Services are made by accessing The Orange Door.
The Orange Door is the central access point for local child and family wellbeing services requests, and family violence service requests. Their approach offers a holistic assessment of a family’s needs and actively supports linkages to required services, which may include our Family Services, or other supports.

There is no cost to access our Family Services.
