It’s time to take a moment for your mental health.
October is Mental Health Month and our Health Promotion team are ready to share the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’.
A healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body for your overall wellbeing. Like physical fitness you can strengthen you psychological health every day in small ways.
You can use our Mental Health Month calendar below to help you ‘do the 5’.
The 5 Ways to Wellbeing are:
Connect: Develop relationships with those around you. Spend time socialising with friends and family.
Be Active: Find an activity you enjoy and make it part of your life. Being active keeps your body and your mind working well.
Keep Learning: Set yourself a new challenge. Trying new things improves your confidence.
Give: Because even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference. Helping others can boost happiness and life satisfaction.
Take Notice: Find time in your day to notice your thoughts and feelings. Use your five senses to become mindful of what’s around you.
