Women of any age and stage of life are welcome at our Women’s Health Clinic, which is staffed by female general practitioners (GP) and nurses.

The clinic specialises in the health and wellbeing of women, with a focus on:

  • Understanding puberty
  • Sexual diversity and transgender health care
  • Common issues with periods
  • Contraception options, including long-acting reversible contraception such as IUD or implant insertion and removal
  • Fertility information
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Early pregnancy care and referral to maternity hospitals
  • Unplanned pregnancy counselling and support
  • Medical termination
  • Referral to services for surgical termination
  • Sexually transmissible infection risk assessment, testing and treatment
  • Endometriosis and pelvic pain
  • Cervical cancer screening
  • Breast health and breast checks
  • Bowel cancer screening

Accessing the service

You do not need a referral to attend our Women’s Health Clinic. However, we do accept referrals from hospitals, private psychology and counselling practices.
