So, with the NDIS up and running in Bendigo and Loddon what are the most common questions being asked of Bendigo Community Health Services?
Our staff have compiled a list and provided the answers too.
What is the NDIS?
It is important to remember that the NDIS is an insurance scheme to assist people with a disability to access the services that they require to enhance their life and improve functionality. Most of the health services offered at BCHS do not require an NDIS plan if they are to improve health or address ill-health.
I've got an NDIS plan, what should I do now?
- Identify which service you require and whether BCHS is able to provide it. Check on our website or through My Place.
- If you can, identify how many sessions your plan suggests that you might need.
- Check for our capacity to deliver.
- Ask the staff member to show you a copy of our Service Agreement Template so that you can see the general terms and conditions.
- Once the Service Agreement is signed, it is a binding contract and service is provided at the cost quoted, based on the NDIS Price Guide.
How do I create a service agreement with BCHS?
- Once the Service Agreement is signed by you and the BCHS clinician, you receive the original document and we keep a copy on file.
- Once we have the Service Agreement signed, we can link it to your plan and commence work.
How will I be billed?
- Depending on the financial management of the plan, which is identified in the agreement, you will be billed either directly or via invoice (if you are self-managing or working through a third party agency) or through the My Place portal.
