It’s National Lunchbox Week and we’re challenging Bendigo kids to design their ideal healthy meal-to-go.
The week aim to set families up for the year ahead with ideas and recipes for wholesome school and kindergarten lunchboxes that help meet the healthy guidelines of two fruits and five vegetables per day.
Our Health Promotion team is encouraging all ages to get involved with making great decisions about their daily lunch options.
The team’s Lunchbox Week Competition challenges children aged 3-12 to get creative, design a lunchbox, and submit their artwork to go into the draw for some fun prizes.
Details to note:
- Kindergarten aged children (3+ years) and primary school children (6-12 years) are eligible to enter.
- Entries open Monday, 10th February, and close 5pm, Monday, 3rd March.
- Entries will be judged on the best artwork and total number of different colourful fruits & vegetables included.
- Be sure to incorporate two fruits and five vegetables into the design.
- Winners will be contacted following the cut-off date.
