Are you seeking a complete change of career? Bendigo Community Health Services has a rare opportunity for four people to join our Alcohol and Other Drugs Service team on a 12-month traineeship.
Senior Leader AOD Wellbeing Services Lisa Walklate said the new trainees will receive full on-the-job support as they work towards gaining recognised AOD qualifications.
“This is a valuable and exciting pathway into a career in AOD services,” Lisa said.
“In turn, we are investing in the future AOD workforce in our region, helping meet demand and foster regional people to care for community.”
Lisa said the traineeships offer four people the chance to make a real difference within the community.
“They will get hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals, and the opportunity to work with a supportive, values-driven organisation at BCHS,” she said.
“Whether you’re starting fresh, have lived experience, or are looking for a meaningful career change, we welcome applications from diverse backgrounds.
“No prior AOD experience is required – just bring your enthusiasm, empathy, and desire to learn.
“As a trainee, you will actively participate in various AOD related activities. This hands-on approach will allow you to develop practical skills under the guidance of expert staff.”
Lisa said the trainees will gain practical skills in:
- Client assessment and support
