BCHS to ensure continuity of care as Well Women’s Clinic closes

Sexual and Reproductive Health Hub

We’re here for you. That is the message from Bendigo Community Health Services’ Sexual and Reproductive Health Hub following this week’s news that the Women’s Health Loddon Mallee Well Women’s Clinic will close.

Announced last week, the Bendigo-based clinic will finish on February 28 with all current clients referred to BCHS and other regional providers.

“Rest assured your care will remain our top priority,” says BCHS Senior Leader of Sexual and Reproductive Health Hub Kathlyn Crisp.

“We are ready to pick up on the great work that Women’s Health Loddon Mallee have been doing in this space.

“Our clinic is a safe and inclusive space for the community. We have caring and knowledgeable staff which includes six female GPs and one female nurse practitioner who are supported by three female registered nurses.

“We offer specialised services for women such as menopause support, contraception, pregnancy options including medical terminations and sexual health care like cervical cancer screening and STI testing and treatment. We also do longer appointments to ensure women seeking help feel heard and cared for.”

Other available services include:
• Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic
• Breast health and breast checks
• Common issues with periods
• Understanding puberty
• BBV testing and treatment (including HIV)
• Genetic carrier screening for pregnancy
