Social worker Annette Clemments said the one hour-long sessions are open to all families in the Loddon region.
“We’re aiming to equip children and families with the skills to support their emotional wellbeing,” Annette said.
“We’ll be addressing those sometimes-challenging emotions of worry and anger, plus we’ll be encouraging children to name their strengths and praise themselves.
“There will also be a session dedicated to teaching families how to bounce back from difficulties.”
Annette said the groups will be small, consisting of five children with one accompanying parent or carer.
“Due the limited places, we are encouraging families to book in early,” she said.
“Each session is fully funded, so free of charge to attend.”
Bookings are essential and childcare is available for siblings on request.
